Alright, so...
I've got Renegade running, right? Initially, I had it set to where Xfire in-game support was tied to "game2.exe" instead of "game.exe". Once I did that, Renegade would crash on occasion and I wouldn't be able to play it again until after I rebooted.(It would give me an error message of "This program has performed an illegal error as needs to be shut down" every time I'd try and run it again.) So...I changed the link back to "game.exe" in Xfire. This seemed to do the trick, but then just yesterday, the same thing happened during a Marathon game. game2.exe crashed and every time I ran it afterwards, it would give me that error message with the DrWatson Post-Mourtum Error Report Generator(I think that's what it's called) question of "Send" and "Don't Send".
As it stands, I've reinstalled Renegade on this computer from a fresh installation of Windows XP with Service Pack 2 after deleting everything that was in my Renegade directory. I've also tried running just "game2.exe" without RenGuard, but the problem continued. Obviously, there wouldn't've been any excess registry keys to fiddle with, so that's probably not it. But what could it be? If it's any help, I recently installed a new 512MB stick of RAM and a DVD-RW into my machine, one of which has apparently damaged something in my motherboard, forcing my computer to spontaniously reboot every now and then. But the crashes don't coinside with the reboots, so...
