Past weekend i bought the Combat Pack released by Westwood which also includes Renegade. SP s lotz of fun, but nothing beats the MP xperience. My prob s i don't find servers with a decent ping [ i live in Belgium ]. R there any servers in Europe and how can i find them ? GameSpy [ never used it, nor installed ] ?

Before you select Chat, Quick match or Advanced listings move the cursor to the left of the screen and click on 'my information'.

Where it says preferred server, make sure European is selected and you may get slightly better pings if it was set to another server. If it doesn't help, then maybe you're just expecting them to be too low.

I live in the Uk, (also in europe) but i've always chosen to play on the US servers instead as there's usually plenty more servers/players online... plus i'm 56k and i usually get good pings.

There's the 3 bygames servers in the UK (gamespy mode) - but they're only going to be up until the 5th of November.

dethserv2 geest0 and i think there are 2 more. ( but they are shit) big 32/20 player servers in the NL.. they should get decent pings..

Yeah they're are some pretty ok servers in Europe...i started playing Ren on the Euro server (go figure im English) but my staying awake till 3am means the server becomes deserted so i changed to the US server about 1 year ago and i havent looked back since...it gives better quality players and gameplay is strangely much more fun...the Euro server is a bit uptight if u know what i mean...anyway catch ya later

I have to agree with Kytten9 there... i'm also from the UK and stay awake til 7am most nights (i work nights ya see).

I find that the europe servers tend to go really quite after 2am.

Back when i bought the game (a few days after release), i tried the European server, then one week later i tried the US and stayed there since.

For some weird reason i've always called the US servers 'home'. Razz
