So reading up on my laptop the max it can have is

two sticks of 1gb 200-Pin DDR SO-DIMM DDR 266 (PC 2100)

so knowing that the memory on newegg with most good reviews and its price is 40 bucks for one stick

while at the same time a stick that is
1gb 200-Pin DDR SO-DIMM DDR 333 (PC 2700)

and I know that even if i buy that memory it will still only run as fast as
266 (PC 2100)

but my question is. why is the 266 (PC 2100) 40 bucks while the 333 (PC 2700) is around 30 to 35 bucks...... even tho its faster

so shell i get the more faster memory even tho its capped at 266 (PC 2100) for lest say 35 bucks instead of the 266 (PC 2100) which is a little over 40 bucks?

Here:
266 (PC 2100):

the middle one has most and best reviews and its 40.99 dollars

333 (PC 2700):

P.S. the 333 (PC 2700) has to be only 2.5V

Laptops are very difficult on the RAM they'll take. Your best bet is actually to go in a computer shop and test there. I've had it that additional RAM from the same manufacturer as the original ram didn't work but from another manufacturer did work...
