As the title says, when I try to install Renegade I get the error message "Renegade has encountered a problem and needs to close..."
And there's nothing much more I can do from there.
I have recently had a huge clean up on my computer and significantly freed up my HD. When I was doing this I got rid of practically everything, including files in folders like "Application Data" and so I'm guessing things like that is the source of my problems.
Has anybody experienced this before or has any knowledge about what to do? It would be a great help, especially if you could help tonight, I'm dying to get online!

It gives me the error message when I click "Install" on the Autoplay menu after inserting the disc(this is an original Ren disc).
My computer has ran Renegade fine for years even when it was much worse than what it is now.
Currently running:
Win XP SP3
Athlon 3200XP
Nvidia Mobo
Radeon 9200 (After my 9800XT short circuited a while back)
1GB DDR2
DirectX 9.0c
So it's well capable of running Ren, no problems there.

Nevermind, I sorted it out.
I copied the whole Westwood folder from my Netbook (which has ren installed) and got the registry files, put them on my memory stick, transfered them over to where they should be, applied the reg files, re-downloaded the latest 9200 drivers and away I went
