  |

On a map like Field or Under, usually a third of the Nod team is running around with SBHs. Most people just stand around with them and do nothing, in hopes that they could steal an enemy vehicle. In the rare occasion where they do steal a tank, they usually get it blown up or just have it locked in the base.

SBHs can deal a lot of damage if they were actually used in opportune moments, but most people don't do that.

I love the SBH's who tell the team to get down the base defenses so they can go in and nuke em. When instead they could go get a tank and help take out the base defenses then go be an SBH

And if you get your tank stolen by an SBH, perhaps your getting out of your tank some place you shouldn't be. Its very rare an SBH steals my vehicle.

  |

Or to booby-trap your tank. Any unit that can repair can also use remote C4, and triggering your trap is as simple as hitting enter and right clicking. Most vehicles that require frequent repairs (Orcas/apaches/MRLS/Artillery) only need 2 C4 anyway. They can steal your tank, but in the end all they manage to do is give themselves away and give you points (In some high-income maps like Complex and Islands, the points are worth much more than credits used to buy the tank anyway)

Yeah, but then you are using up part of the mine limit.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there a seperate limit for proximity C4 and remote C4?

And anyway, both the maps I mentioned have only 3 buildings and relatively tight entrances, making mines less of an issue than on, let's say City_Flying, or Volcano.

There is, but not standard. Only on servers that have modified the mine limit to have a seperate one for remotes and proxies. In standard ren, the remote and proxy mine limit is 30 all together.

If used correctly, the SBH is great. If there's a stalemate on Walls Flying, or Nod's being assaulted heavily, I usually grab a SBH and nuke one of GDI's buildings. I succeed around 8 out of 10 times.

Though, 75% of the people with a SBH are like HAY I R KOOL I R INVIZIBAL L!OL!OLO!L!O!l1o1l1ol
