Did you know that even if you dont have the Windows Mixer open,
If you edit your sound, and then log on in the future, those changes will still be there.

For over a year I was wondering why my sound was all funny.
Then I formatted, cleaned out my computer, and I had amazing sound again.
I almost cried.

Errr... You reformatted your HD to re-install because you didn't know volume-settings staying after you re-booted? Wow

Do you have on-board sound of a sound-card? You may not have the correct/latest drivers or possibly you hardware simply doesn't work with MILES.

EDIT: BTW this should probably be in the Renegade client subforum
