Renegade Lag & Crash issues [message #313815]

Greetings,

Whenever I start up, close down or minimize up/down renegade in full or window screen mode the CPU jumps to 100%, as monitored by me when I ran it in window mode to see what it said. I do not know why it has recently started doing it, I have tried reinstalling but no fix. Dont Get It

Often when I am in game, well most of the time the game crashes a lot and frequently at random intervals, again I do not know why this happens. The first few when I start up yes are renguard, I find them irritating and do not understand why renguard has to crash and cut people off so much. Dont Get It

I have gone to much lengths to find and fix the problem myself but have failed. Dont Get It

I would appreciate any and all assistants anyone can provide, if you need any other information then I will supply on query. Rocked Over

Edit: It has come to my attention this is wrong forum, sorry.

Edit: I forgot to mention, when I close my ren it pops up the windows error message, send or do not send thingy.

Change scripts versions and try again.

Run Game2.exe and try again.

Pretty much make it like basic Renegade without RenGuard or latest scripts with shaders on, and test it. If you get no problems it's RenGuard or Scripts.

In that case, run one, one at a time, and debug from there.

Narrow the choice of options that could be the cause.

Thanks martyn for trying to help.

However I un-installed my renegade file by deleting my file renegade "TFD" I started TFD and clicked repair so all files where replaced.

I have tested it now with no scripts no cp2 no renguard just normal renegade and it still does the same, it jumps to 100% CPU and freezes the computer when opening, closing a minimizing to and from windows.

Any other ideas anyone?
