WTF? My AntiVirus found a Virus/Trojan at Register.exe from APB!!!

I imagine that either -

1) your download was hijacked, or

2) You already had the trojan, and it chose to infect that program.

I doubt APB include a trojan in their files.

Well generally no, you will not even know its there until a virus tries to execute, however if you have a poor system then anything is possible.

that anti virus realy sucks becasue i scaned the apb with AVG(the best antivirus program) and the was not viruses at all!

It happens.

Like for example Zone Alarm classified Live Messenger as a spyware/virus, so I deleted it, downloaded again, and now it is fine.

I guess it got infected by a virus, just like what happened to the thread creator.

Wild Conspiracy theory:
Maybe The Reborn team is attacking Renegade Alert(I do not care if it has different name, to me it will always be Renegade Alert), by making a virus that attacks it? Big Grin
I mean with the mod in development for so long I am sure they had plenty of free time Big Grin

I am a major pirate and AVG works just fine. You need to stick with reliable release groups and stay the hell away from crack sites. Places like Demonoid (When it comes back) are VERY reliable because its an exclusive club, no one wants the ban hammer so they don't risk their accounts.

Really though you should just move on to Usenet, there really is no better.

You see there a HUGE difference between Norton and Nod32. Firstly Nod32 doesn't run like 10 processes just for an anti virus and secondly, Nod32 actually works. While Norton just fails on all levels. It takes like a week just to uninstall Norton.

The only time you would see lag from Nod32 is if 1) you're running an active scan and playing a game and 2) when it installs auto updates.

I'd rather have a 2 sec lag spike to keep safe than to have norton hogging all the cpu/memory and not actually do anything except make the internets impossible to use.
