Well long story short I love the game though I don't get on as much as I would like. I actually purchased two serials so that when I friend came over to play that we would have a legal way of playing on the same servers.
Well I lost that second serial that I picked up as part of a $19.99 BestBuy "C&C MultiPack".
So now I'm looking to get a reliable, not banned serial number for low cost. Since this game is pretty long in tooth I'm curious who might still have it on the shelves.
I might as well ask the question, I assume that I can't have two of my PC's running the same serial number under two different accounts playing on the same server?
An instant get like $4.99 best buy value CD or $9.99 multipack would sure be nice as I'd like to get online this week since I have some time off.

You can't add FAQ to the forums. Wow the question about the 9 serial numbers has been coming up a lot latley. Please use the search command to find your info next time. Since a lot of questions can be answered this way and there has already been many topics on this that has been posted already.
The reason Uranus is tilted 90 degrees is because god got angry and kicked it over.....

Actually, you can only have 9 nicknames registered on a serial, but you can connect to XWIS with that serial as many times as you'd like. As long as the serial is not banned, there are no limits. You could have 20 nicknames owned by different serials and use them all with the same serial to connect all at the same time without a problem. And if you want to register a new name and have all your 9 used up, you can just delete a nickname you don't use anymore and register a new one.

I have 5 different serial numbers.
I typed /names in chat and was paged by xwis three different names that belong to me.
I used v00d00's tool and changed my serial to another one.
Then went back to chat and typed /names again. I was paged the exact same previous three nick names. I don't think it pages you the names associated with the serial.

I think it has to be serial based. Last I knew, I had about four accounts, and I misplaced my jewel case with my serials (probably in my mess of a closet). Since my PC was reformatted recently and I wanted to play Renegade, I used my brother's (since he doesn't play anymore anyway). Using my account on an installation with his serial, I just checked the /names thing in the chat and it gave me quite a few names, none of which were mine and some I recognized as alternate accounts of his, so it's got to be serial based and not account linked.
