whenever i trying to go on a server it says version mismatch what does this mean ? what do i do please help

You need to first install patch 1.037 availlable here: ftp://ftp.westwood.com/pub/renegade/updates/

what does it do ?
and there should be more servers cause they hardly ever do any other maps than all the original maps its so repetative

You need to run the patch, you'll then have the same version as everyone else.

And on WOL there currently are about 100 servers. Don't forget u can also scroll down the list.
