Hey guy's recently I have been marked as noob.
I was wondering what i means and what effects it has!
I'm a good teamplayer (31 recs) and don't think I'm a noob, but who does think this of himself!
Can anybody explain what it is?

lol... don't worry man, it has no effect whatsoever. Its the opposite of recs. When you see somebody do something really noobish, type: !n00b playername reason and press enter. Too see all the people mared a noob in the server, type !shown00bs (i don't remember if its spelled n00b or noob)

It's a term used on sniping servers (often on Islands) for people that attack others from behind. It is also mostly used by people that don't have the skill to attack head on. Since it is a bit lame to attack people from behind on a server that is all about aiming skill, gets people pretty pissed most of the time. On the other hand, it is also a good way to get those annoying wall lamers...

So, you're saying that it's a noob tactic to shoot someone from behind? No matter what unit or tank they may have? No matter if they're destroying your base? No matter if they're defending their base and they're the only thing keeping your team from killing their base?

I think I was pretty clear on the fact that I am just talking about sniping servers. On AOW servers it is allowed, and in fact smart, to loop, refill, whatever.

It is like an old western shoot out. Both should take 10 steps, turn and shoot. Loopers on the other hand take 5 steps then turn and shoot the other in the back... It is just honourable like refilling during battle.

Have you ever been to a sniper server? The base can not be destroyed and you don't have pistols. It is just you, your sniper rifle with unlimited ammo and your opponent with the same. Do you know what honour means? It is the opposite of gay.

People who complain about looping in Islands "sniper" games aren't snipers, they're wall huggers... and they're dead wrong when they say it isn't allowed. If you are only capable of looking in one direction, there is something very seriously wrong with the way you play the game.
