Hmmm. I don't really agree on the gender diffrence thing. I quite often speak to a girl (OMG he actually speaks to girls) who is far less formal in her Instant messages than I am. Oh well, she might be an of those 10%.
While we both are students, at the same thing americans call a university I think.
Size doesn't matter.

I call bullshit too, read these convos between me and two of my ex-girlfrinds:
Changed her user name to "Old Girlfriend". Keep in mind except the name change this is 100% accurate, nothing has been changed.
I picked random days.
(We are both 18 years of age)
EDIT: Ok on this one, i wasnt really into the converasation, so i didnt really talk too much and there aren't very many sentences. But she typed in CAPS the whole time.

EDIT2: I didnt proof read these for a controlled test, and i see alot of things i need to work on, but alot of things she says just doesn't make sence.
Also we were pretty serious, things were going great and it was looking down that road.......Then i found out she wasnt using birth control like she said she was.....So yeah, it's over.
So in conclusion, yeah i highly disagree.

This article is 'lie's to children,' bullshit. the man who wrote it has had to dumb it down something chronic.

after reading it its hard to imagine how he came to his conclusion.
Up to page 16 is mostly references and some nice background info. Some of them i cant find any more and now want to read.
Read page 17 onward and you will figure it out. Its a pity she does not say why many of the male subjects bailed or how many were left (it seems like 3)
25 conversations were monitored 9 male, 9 female, 5 both. many of the male conversations were between 2 people, so it does not give a good reference.
This news website is designed for teens, so it contains allot of the 'lies to children' information we expect from such news forums. Although correct it does not have all the information and many of the facts are embellished to allow better understanding.
the paper is more of a presentation. It does not cover a wide enough area to be anything more. Its more of a breakdown of sentence structure to help build a better foundation for those who follow. Its a very interesting read.
