Can u tell me what program i need to make skins or if u know of a place that explain skin making, can u inform me of it?

I use Paint Shop Pro 7 to make textures and skins for Renegade. Its very user friendly and has some good features. It also has a free 30 trial download, but i don't know what the address is.
