Uninstalled renguard and as usual the uninstallation didn't get rid of anything seemingly. So I removed game, renguard dll, bhs dll, scripts dll and renamed scripts2 to scripts (the real 1.99mb one). plus renamed game2 to game. still can't get rid of the sound and it isn't in renegade/data.

Core Patch 1 components have nothing todo with RenGuard.
Replace your always.dbs file.
