My friend recorded this little thing on his phone and he got it onto his computer and sent it to me. Hwoever, it is in .amr format.

So what I'm asking is, what can I open the file with? And can I get any freeware/trials that can turn it back into something more common, say, mp3 or wav or wma?

Thanks, but that's not really what I'm after...I'm asking how to convert an .amr to .mp3/.wav, not the other way round.
