Game Update: Cloud Effect.

A few of Aircraftkiller's levels will feature the Cloud Effect he made for W3D. It basicly just shows detailed shadows from the clouds moving across the terrain.

See more here.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Object Update: Destroyed Supply Truck.

This is the destroyed version of the Supply Truck. The story behind this is that it was caught in a cross fire while attemping to deliver goods, but the front wheel fell off and the drive slammed on the brakes. Now it is stuck front first in the grass.

The original model was done by Sir Phoenixx. Aircraftkiller destroyed the model and textures.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

The release of .993b is set for the first half of July, and no longer. If we feel that it cannot be finished by the 15th of July, then we'll cut features so that it will meet the deadline. Not to worry though, and features that are cut will appear shortly after in the .9935b patch

The Smashed glass just looks wrong, other than the fact its straight out of the Renegade texture pack, it looks too smashed up, the cracks are too big, make the cracks smaller and take a few of the larger ones out and itl be cool Smile

It looks just like it should.

It was caught in a crossfire. Notice the bullet holes all over it.
Either it ran over it's own debris, and jacked itself, or an explosion did it, but either way, the result is the same.

Think Terminator 3... Just like what happened to that crane but it wasn't going fast enough to flip over, the initial crash into the ground caused a pipe/framework under the truck to come loose...

The crane truck flipping over in that scene was one of the coolest things I've ever seen in a movie...

And neo, I beg to differ, Terminator 3 was a pretty cool movie. And they built up to T4 being just a super-huge robot fight.

T3 was surprisingly good, but it wasn't anywhere near the quality of the first two.

Is there any example yet of this cloud effect? Is it something like the clouds in Generals? That's the only thing I could think of that's similar.
