Macs you pay extra for a computer that lasts longer with better graphics and doesn't crash as often as windows. Also it doesn't memory hog, so it doesn't take up loads of space. Also doesn't have many viruses on mac, what does that say about the coding?

dovers being a douche trying to force his opinion on to yours. They both have thier uses and there are many reasons why someone would pay more for a mac then a pc.

less problems with viruses

I stopped reading there. Ok, with windows XP it was *possible* to get a virus, if you really tried. With Windows 7 you really need to be retarded to get a virus. And yes, I do every now and then check for a virus.

If you look at how many people get their credit card/social security/etc data stolen, how easy do you think it is to get someone to download a virus...most people don't even know what the file extensions mean and will consciously open something .exe thinking it's a video/document/whatever.

No virus ever got past me, but it's still nice not having to worry and having to run a program in the background.

I'd rather an afforable extra 1 GB of RAM or so to make up for that program running in the background and more, anyway.

I thought the Microsoft fanboys were allergic to paying extra...my 4 GB aren't being chipped away by a crappy OS structure...and my notebook still boots in less than 10 seconds, while my Vista laptop would take close to a minute by now. Of course, my top priority in life aren't videogames, so how could I possibly give credible consumer advice?

Nah, read the thread...they were bitching about Macs being more expensive for the same hardware, but it turns out they have no problem buying additional hardware to mask software deficits.

That's only one of the reasons why there are virtually no Mac viruses. More importantly, you can't really fuck up someone's Mac with a virus because of the UNIX structure.

Just because one might prefer Windows to Mac, doesn't make them a Microsoft fanboy. (Maybe an anti-apple fanboy, though.)

Windows has the widest variety of games available.

There are people, like myself, who enjoy upgrading and enhancing computer hardware. As a hobby.

I've thrown so much money away buying things for my computer, I could have probably bought a car if I hadn't spent it.

I like Windows because I know it and it runs well. I've built my hardware around running it and I don't feel like downgrading to a Mac OS with less available for me to do. The fact that Microsoft makes Windows has nothing to do with it.

Also, another thing to realize. The OS is just a one time deal. The additional hardware doesn't support Microsoft.

Let me rephrase.

If Mac OSs had the ability to play all the games that the Windows library has, then it would be a hard decision to chose between the two.

That's completely understandable and I agree, the main reason I have windows computers is because my family knows the basics on how they work, and how to deal with problems.
Honestly, if it works better, then you should probably go for it, as apposed to features you really don't need/want/will ever use.

As for the Mac Commercials, they annoy me because of the subliminal imagery and use of "plain folk propaganda", when a computer user who actually KNOWS what's going on would prefer what ever OS they are accustomed to, as apposed to a retard that really shouldn't be using a PC because they are to unintelligent.
Basically, Apple is trying to appeal to the people who really aren't interested in computers, as well as to 'rebels' and the younger TV-watching generation.

(Please note, the confusion between advertising and propaganda should be cleared up as advertising is technically propaganda, but propaganda leaves a nasty taste in the mouth.)

Propaganda is normally used as the negative of advertisement.

For example:
You use advertisement to help spread knowledge of a product you are selling.
You use propaganda to aid in the spread of an unwanted idea (such as a rumor or stereotype).

I deleted it so you can go back to responding posts that are comprised entirely of that picture. Funny to see you accuse me of being uncomfortable with my appearance when you're too ashamed to post any pictures of yourself in any of the countless "SHOW URSELF" threads. What do you have to be ashamed of, JohnDoe? A third nipple on your forehead?

And you lie, you reposted the same bullshit in other threads unrelated to PC vs Mac. You're just a low quality troll.

But anyways, back on topic;
