Not only are you the definition of a self-richious american saying global warming is bs, but now against a compagin to help out a continent that supplies your contry with the "oh so precious" oil you guys feel your entitled to? Let me guess, with your kind of backwards logic you support the war in iraq?

You are worse at reading and comprehending my opinions than puddle_splasher is. Is this something you put effort into doing, or are you just that fucking stupid?
Global Warming IS bs. It's a new science that can't be definitively proven. The environment changes too much for there to be any conclusive evidence that there is a 'global warming' caused by man. Yes, man is damaging the ecology of the world, but that's a different scenario, and this is a different topic.
I'm against a campaign that spends taxpayer money. Also as talked about by others, just handing money and little aid isn't going to do anything to change people. You can only temporarily solve a problem.
MexPirate - I'm not talking about a 1% hike in taxes... we're talking a 1% spending of our current budget. Though, that's not even my issue with it. It's not a matter of how much would be spent, it's what's being spent - taxpayer money. If I want to give to charity and help others, it's my decision to do so, and for my government to spend money outside of my nation is wrong. My tax money goes to running the government to protect me and stabilize the nation, not stabilize another nation. Leave that up to the people.
whoa.

I don't give my money to any charity without knowing what kind of an operation they're running. Why? So that I can be sure that it's going for its intended use. There are too many corrupted people out there. As Doitle referenced earlier, I don't feel like buying an African Genocidal Warlord a new car.

Spending billions on the war in Iraq with the purpose of stabilizing the nation is ok? but actually helping people without killing and maiming them is not?

I say we make a giant "truman show" dome over iran, iraq and all the others that wont evolve with the rest of the human race to reach the stars. I wonder what we would find after we open that time capsule in 500 years.
Either a bat like sub species or a bunch of free land.
Eh what the hell, we will give them a window on top.
