C&C 3 is good :/

Now thats fucking bullshit right there, it is HORRABLE in all ways a game can be.

How so? It plays well, is being patched fairly frequently and has Joe Kucan in it. A game with Joe Kucan in it is automatically win. I also find the skirmish gameplay very replayable. Sure, there are bugs here and there but what PC game doesn't have those? Also, most of the major gaming review sites at least gave it an 80% or higher.

well, the fact remains that it NEEDS to be patched recently, that's the sad thing. Also, if you need to release about 4 patches in the first week after release, then I have a feeling your quality assurence fails bigtime...

@EvilWhiteDragon

That depends on the things you're patching. Minor fixes(which the ones in the first week weren't) aren't that big of a deal to ignore, but fixes for them are still nice.

I play Guild Wars regularly and the game gets bug corrections and/or content additions at least once per week, sometimes as many as three times per week. It's nice to know that they at least take enough interest in the game to correct any errors and continue to add features even though I've already paid for the game.

I ment that those things should, imho, have been fixed before release...

TS and RA2 kicked Generals ass big time. Generals wasn't very crap, but I don't consider it a Command and Conquer game. It doesn't fall under the storyline

RA2 falls under the C&C storyline all of a sudden?

Just fucking lol at that. Storyline-wise it's every bit as wayward as Generals.
...

It doesn't follow the storyline intended by Westwood, but still follows a storyline started by Westwood. Soviets were supposed to win RA1, which led to Tiberian Dawn. However RA2 is what would happen if the Allies had actually won.

And what makes you think EA will never connect the storylines later on?

rofl...

RA2's "story" is banging it out to the dim-witted, overly patriotic American audience. It constantly portrays the USA as the force who bravely took the Soviets down first time around, and Europe as being whiny surrender-monkeys who can't achieve anything without American help.

Bear that in mind then go play RA1, tell me if you see a single American commander or soldier.

I'm perfectly aware of the "RA2 is what might happen if Allies won RA1" theory, but it's still laughably inconsistent with RA1. Aside from that, I don't judge games by their storyline. Just pointing out that if you someone else judges Generals by its storyline, look at fucking RA2...

Bad story line, decent missions and good multiplayer.
Rocketeers however, we're by far made too strong.
Time and time again, I see Mutiplayer wars won by the rocketeers.

Didn't you listen to the installer.
RA2 Installer

The European Allies Rallied, eventually smashing the communist war machine.

No sight of OMGUSA in that sentence. Also bearing in mind that the USA get driven out of their own country by the Reds and have to look to the Europeans for help.

Generals has nothing C&C about it apart from perhaps the Overlord Tank an it's meager resembalance to the Mammoth Tank. RA2 has Tesla Coils, the Chronosphere, the Iron Curtain and the Pillbox. All of which draw parallels to RA1. Generals doesn't seem to fit anywhere. At least RA2 trys. You can't accuse it of not being a C&C Game.

The graphics on RA2 and TS were better than Generals' graphics as well. Shps and voxels just looked so much better than Generals' crappy attempt at 3d graphics.

And yes, there is a Ren2 mod in development. Check the renegade section of Moddb to find my good friend BogdanV securely at the wheel of that mod.

EA has already said (and I've already told you) that it's not outside the realm of possibility to see them make a C&C-based FPS.
Crimson has said this many times now, she went to the LA HQ. Think about it guys, just read between the lines...
We won't know about it until there's a press release on the matter since EA is a publicly-traded company.
