No bashing or flaming real question please, Now this has been kinda confusing me, I saw the xmen movies and saw what happens to jean grey turns into this, demon or something, so after watching the xmen evolution series i looked up on google about jean grey, and im a little confussed about thsi thing shje turns into
one wiki page said that theres this phoenix force that came down to earth and like resurrectioned jean or something, while another page said she had a block professor x put on her as a child and it some how went away and she turned into this evil phoenix that was inside of her
whats the true story? or is there a diff version depending on which xmen comic or tv series you watch?

Every series is sort of different, even the "Wolverine and the X-Men" cartoon series is different from X-Men Evolution and also the movies even though it seems to loosely base itself off certain stuff in the movie (like how the present team is similar to the team remaining at the end of X-Men 3).
There is no "true story" so to speak.

From what I know watching the movies...
She is the "phoenix" and when the professor found her as a child her powers were so great they needed to be contained to safeguard her surroundings. So using his powers he put a sort of mental block on her and over the years incrementally restored her former power so that she can learn how to control her own powers and herself.
At the end of the second movie she is presumed dead after the dam ruptures and she's engulfed in the water. A phoenix gets reborn after it dies, so that brings her back for the third movie.
Now I'm guessing, since the professor doesn't know she's alive he can't put that "mental block" on her power so she goes ballistic because of the sudden rush of her full power which she hasn't had the time or training to control.
You should know the rest of the story.
