I shoot up 2 vehicles, 1 helicopter and a few Nod soldiers and then get a message that I have failed this mission.

Am I missing something somewhere?

The message that I get is that I have failed this OBJECTIVE. Deadeye is alive at this stage.

When I press the Tab-key "Failed" appears in red next to this objective.

By the way, just snipe the Rocket Officers First, so they don't bother you with theyr missiles. After shooting, you will hear: "Let's get out of here"

Then, two engineers will start to run. At first, they will run towards the left, and then turn behind the buggy and run along the ridge all the way to the right. Just shoot them when they turn, as the buggy shouldn't be able to hit you. After shooting them, two more will start running, repeat the prosess twice and you should have killed all 6 engineers.

And theres no real reason for killing them sice no bonus is awarded (I think)

But should I still shoot the helicopter down?

He is quite a tough cookie.

Which brings me to the stars. Why do you have to rush through the levels as fast as possible to get 5 stars? It makes you skip all the cool places and people you can talk to on the way. I say: Forget about the stars! Just take your time, save often and HAVE FUN, **** the secret level someone mentioned you get if you complete all missions with 5 stars. A code will probably lock it up later anyways. When you are done with the campaign and got throuh, I´d say you deserve to see the secret level anyway.
