i just posted two new tutorials on Dante's Mod Exchange.

One is for the Projection Shadows

the other is for using Vertex material for moving animation.

there are some samples for the last one - look for the models in the models/misc folder -

and the textures are in the images/textures folder. (just place them in your texture path for w3d viewer)

if you host them on your site - please include a link to the mod exchange - thanks.

BTW - the first one will show you how to setup animation in renx/commando...
