As of scripts.dll 3.2.2, the scripts.dll/bhs.dll will no longer run on Windows 98 or Windows ME. This allows the use of certain features not found on those operating systems which help make the code better.

My folks very first PC came with ME. It was worthless in every respect. It only took like a week for it to crash and burn ... after that I put XP pro on it and it has been running ever since. The best thing you can do with a PC that has ME on it is take the hard drive out, burn it, replace hard drive, burn that one just in case, then replace it again and install something else.

Windows ME.... *shudders*
We had that for about a week before I got fed up of it and replaced it with 98SE... would never have installed it myself, but it came preinstalled on the PC (Incidentally that was the last pre built PC we ever bought, I have always built my own since then)
IIRC the system restore function in ME STILL didn't work after about 9 patches to 'fix' it... not sure about the current state of it though, I avoid ME like the plague
