I installed a new motherboard (ASUS A7V600) yesterday and now my color is all distorted. My monitor shows everything as having a blue tint to it. My monitor showed my color just fine when using my previous motherboard. Only thing is, I'm not switching back to the old one for sake of this one is so much damn better (except for this color problem). If anybody can help, please do so.

whoa.

graphics drivers?
are there any updated ones on the net you can find?

or

try blowing any possible dust from the connections of the display adapter.

Yeah, I think I should try both. My case was pretty dusty when I installed everything, so the second option might fix it. Zunnie also suggested that the card could have been ruined when I was switching it. Could be, but I'm doubting that's it. So, we'll see. Thanks for the ideas.

whoa.

Question, does the monitor feel like one of its tubes is down? hence the blue. is there a slight tint of red or yellow?

Red is black, Green is yellow, and blue is blue. I can't figure out what the hell is going on.

Has the monitor gone *POP* or made any funny noises recently? Cause it sounds like the red cathode gun is dead.

Do you have another VDU?

or

Do have a VDU you can borrow from somebody for a day or a few hours?

If so try it.
Chances are, you have a faulty VDU.

It's my monitor. One of the pins on the plug was bent. I think it was bent when I was trying to push it into the wrong port. I just need some needle nose pliers to see if I can get it to work. Now I just need a new power supply.

TFWxANDY, WTH is a VDU?

I don't know anybody that calls a monitor a VDU, granted the new LCD and Plasma displays kind of blur the line but...VDU?!?!? That's like calling a Video Card a GAAC(Graphics Accelerator Add-on Card), it's technically acurate but not not typically used cause it's superfluous. Wink Razz

I was being a little sarcastic. I know it means Visual Display Unit. I was just pointing out that I don't know anyone that calls a monitor that.
