What exactly do you mean that you have cable with 56k? Is your cable modem only 56k up or down? Or do you mean that you have a cable modem AND a 56k phone modem?

Anyway, I would suggest cable if it is avaliable. I upgraded to cable from a 56k phone modem and Renegade became a whole new game. No more warping around and finding yourself in the middle of a tiberium field. As for DSL, I looked into it in my area and it was more expensive than cable and was a higher price as well.

Overall I have been very happy with Cable and I would recomend that you check to see what company(ies) have in in your area.
