 This is pretty serious and you need to clean that virus ASAP as Im sure most of the files on your computer (including renguard) are infected.

 I honestly doubt that, because I had the exact same thing described in the initial post happen to me.  I believe it was due to the defective 1.00/1 release or something like that, because the file update.exe was probably corrupted and was setting off a false alarm in Norton.  And I know Renguard would never be released with a virus, so =P
 
 And obviously, I am not infected with any virus, for I have scanned, checked, and ensured.
