Duke of Nukes | all that has been tried is one diplomatic solution. There's always more than one solution...and all I said is that other solutions should be explored first. I'm not saying anything else because I do not wish this to turn into a debate. This is how I feel, this is how a good portion of the country feels and by ignoring it, you are proving ignorance

Various diplomatic solutions have been tried for 12 years. Negotiations, Economic Sanctions, Weapons Inspections, etc. Saddam has actively tried to hide his weapons and hurt his people during all this.
Even if we were to continue with weapons inspections until they somehow disarmed Saddam, what then? Saddam is still in power. He will do his best to rebuild them, France and other countries will probably help him. He'll countinue to brutalize his country the whole time.
Any method that leaves Saddam, or his party, in power is a failure. The only thing other then a US led war that will get him out of power is if he was assassinated and then a rebellion overthrew the rest of his government.
