Okay just to clarify, in response to yet again having my current and past job titles and technical experience questioned (although im sure in the next post you will yet again say I am "bragging"):

1. I currently work for Cisco Systems Inc. You are correct in that I do not sit around configuring routers all day, and apparently many people who hear the word "Cisco" automatically associate it with routers, which while understandable, doesn't mean that everyone who works there works on or with routers. My current job responsibilities include the administration of all the servers that are used in the Networking Academy Program. Most of the servers are Linux and Sun, with a few Windows servers sprinkled in. I am responsible for everything from hardware upgrade, to host security, performance monitoring/analysis, DNS, and network security. I do not hold a Cisco certitfication. I do not hold an MCSE certification either. In fact, I do not have any certs of any kind other than some ones that BrainBench.com sent me for free in exchange for testing their new exams, which are of course as useless as the paper they are printed on. I was hired at Cisco due to my vast experience with Linux, Solaris, and networks in general. I am indeed enrolled in the CCNA coursework, which of course starts out with CCNA1 which is network basics. The class is very boring and I have even fallen asleep as I long ago learned and digested the OSI 7 layer burrito Smile The only reason I am taking the course is because I want to get the CCIE, so I'm starting at the beginning. As a Cisco employee, taking the coursework and the exam is free, and taught right down the hall from where I work, so it's too good of a deal to pass up.

2. My last job was with Qwest Communications, Inc in Arlington Virginia. My job title was "Senior Systems Engineering Manager". Me along with my team of 12 Senior IP Systems Engineers maintained over 200 critical servers, including ones owned by Microsoft. One of our roles was maintaining the TACACS servers, without which Qwests network would literally grind to a halt. Oddly enough, even though I didn't have a Cisco cert, I was "allowed" to log into their routers and be responsible for their authentication servers Razz Our team also maintained the NAS and authentication servers for AOL/MSN dialups. I performed many many other systems engineering duties, but frankly it would be easier at this point to just cut and paste my resume Razz

I hope this clears this up for the certain people *cough* who have been questioning my technical expertise and experience. If you want to know my job history all the way back to high school, I can put my resume online if it will just shut you the hell up. And please no more comments about me "bragging"...the only reason I have said anything about my experience is because I was flat out challenged and even called a liar.

The big picture is, the current or past job titles of the RenGuard team doesn't even matter. All that matters is we have given to the community ever since it formed, and will continue to do so. We have given countless hours and literally thousands of dollars in fees and resources to the community, if I was the argumentative type, I would ask "what have you given?" and wonder what gives you the right to stir up all this hubub.

I don't know if your agenda is to discredit us, or to just cause so much of a distraction that we give up on the project. You will fail either way. Our reputations speak for themselves, and RenGuard WILL be released. The people can decide for themselves whether they want to use a tool released by tried and true loyalists, or play games full of cheaters destroying everything with one shot cheats and bighead mods, and I'm pretty sure they know better than to believe your wild ramblings of me being a liar, or that Renguard will fail because I dont have a Cisco certification
