Would airflow really be impacted? You have an 890FX board with decent spacing between the PCIe slots, and a modern case. Given that the 460's don't run too hot, I don't foresee any terrible issues. But you know your system better than I do.
If you get the 6950, you'll likely need to buy a second one anyway.
What resolution is your TV?
Personally, I believe it's best to buy a second GTX 460 for SLI, invest in two higher resolution monitors, and run them in tandem with your TV. You should come out ahead, that way. Here's one on eBay.
