I am going to start playing the game soon, so I was wondering if anyone has any good tips on creating a character.
I was hoping to save the soldier class for the highest difficulty, and start with something else.

I think you "need" to use Shepard if you want to use your save games in ME2 and in nov ME3.

Anyway, whatever you'll do, you'll have fun. ME is pretty awesome.
