One SSD is rated at 50,000 IOPS and the other is rated at 10,000IOPS...and you ask if there is a difference? Of course there is, the 50,000 IOPS is 4x faster in IOP operations! The more IOPS the faster it is accessing files on the SSD, which is helpful if you have small files being accessed a lot.
Of course if you compare either SSD to a standard 7.2K Hard Drive that is rated at maybe 100-150 IOPS, then it doesn't matter which SSD you get since it will be MUCH faster than that crap Hard Drive you currently have.
(I currently use 8-10 SSD's, and you wont regret it)
