Also, FYI, the black screen that never goes away is caused by installing Core Patch 2 over the top of scripts.dll 3.4.4 and is fixed by simply reinstalling scripts.dll 3.4.4. I know you already fixed that issue, but it's worth mentioning in case you run into the same problem again in future.
