Explore the CD, and try using admin + compat on "setup.exe", rather than allowing autorun to run. IIRC, the autorun for Renegade is buggy form Vista upwards.

I'm running Windows 7 x64 and I haven't had a single problem with Renegade aside from the usual "Run as Administrator..." bit.
