When CarrierII was talking about location he meant in terms of country, in this case Australia, which is always going to have a poor ping to online services in Europe and America, which is where almost all Renegade servers are hosted.

But ive hear people from Australia complain about connections to many games, but if you use wireless, that is most likely the issue
