Have you ran memtest? (memtest.org)
If you did, did you run it for more than just a couple of passes? (let it run for an hour of 4 minimum).
If you haven't, download and burn to CD, and et it run for at least 4 hours.
If you get errors then your RAM is BORKED.

Yep, give prime 95 a shot too, if it returns any errors there's a problem.

I would go for OCCT personally, but I suppose that prime stress test works as well. (It does support multicore now doesn't it?)

Yes, runs 8 threads on my i7. Personally I've always used it. Folding at home requires about 0.01v more than prime to run stable though. I have used OCCT before as well, all good programs.
