Then an error pops up and says "file system error: please insert renegade game disc." I can click retry but it just keeps happening. It's very possible that your drive is semi-broken and/or dirty.

It is RARE that your renegade disk is still in one peice from what I've heard. Renegade ahs to been put on the worst CD's EVER made.

My original Renegade disk from the year Renegade was released still works, and it sat in my CD drive for years in constant use because I never bothered to install a no-cd crack. Maybe mine happens to be an exception to the rule...
