A piece of advice on the i7 series, if you go that route. Wait. Intel will release a number of bios instructions, NorthBrigde technolgies, and other related updates before i7 is considered stable. You would be missing out on a great deal of stability, and possibly moreso, performance. On another note, don't spend money on a motherboard that is worthless because you're antsy to get your hands on new technology. There is a fine line between a mistake, and plain stupidity. You can easily make yourself a computer to last you several years, and "futureproof" (if there is such a thing..), regardless of the time of purchase of these components in the long run.
