You can also get the path of "My Documents" for the current user by reading the registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\Personal

You may have to resolve the %USERPROFILE% variable within the string returned from the registry.
