As I said, that's because you need game.exe to play the game. Renegade.exe is, contrary to it's name, not actually Renegade, but a simple launcher. The game itself is called game.exe, and without that file you cannot play the game. If it has been deleted or lost for whatever reason you effectivly no longer have the game installed.
