I sent this PM to SSnipe. He got back saying the second solution worked and also requested me to post it for others.

The following are solutions for both desktop and Internet Explorer.

For Internet Explorer:

Open Internet Options > Security > Local Intranet > Uncheck the first box and enable the other three checkmarks as this shows:

You can do this as well. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS TO DO:

Open Internet Options > Security > Click on Internet > Custom Level > Scroll down and disable Launching applications and unsafe files. Do this for Local Intranet, Trusted Sites, and Restricted Sites. THIS IS NOT RECOMMENDED TO DO BUT WILL STOP THE PROMPTS WHEN YOU ARE USING INTERNET EXPLORER.

For .exe files running from desktop:

Start > in the search field, type gpedit.msc > OK

Microsoft Management Console opens:

Click User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Attachment Manager:

Right click Inclusion list for low file types > Click Properties > Select Enabled > in the field below, type .exe > Click OK and exit.

RESTART YOUR COMPUTER.
