Yes it is. Murder is taking the life of another human being. And by definition, a fetus, although not fully developed, is still a human. Therefore it is murder if you kill it.

It's not autonomous. I doubt it is even sentient yet. I'm not sure if it can even feel. If it can't feel, and it's going to die, then I don't know if it's cruel to keep it alive, and if it makes the parents happy... whatever. If it can feel, thus be in pain, and it's not going to have any happy, autonomous future, there's no point in keeping it alive.

This is the exact same thing as abortion. EXACT SAME THING.

If you are against abortion, then you should be against killing this child. If you are for killing the child, then you aren't against abortion.

I for one could not care less as it ain't my kid.

How is this anything like abortion? If the child can develop outside of the womb, then you shouldn't kill it. However, an 8 week old fetus is not capable of surviving outside of the womb.
