Yes it would be cool to have a somekind of drop down.
eg:

LOL3
Leopard
Lenny
crapy name
something

and u tipe:
/L *menu appears
LOL
LOL2
LOL3
Leo
Lenny

and u click it and the name appears (not necesary for clans) but it would be cool to add a clan system, so u don't have to change ur name only add clan and tags appear atomaticly without losing: Ladder points, recs, medals etc. (depends on the server)

If it has bee tiped already sorry in a hurry can't read all
