Two things.

1. That was made before Internet Explorer version 7 existed.

The thing is, this right here is EXACTLY what the quote means. Many people code ONLY for Internet Explorer simply becuase it's the most used browser. Back before Firefox became more spread, MANY things didn't work in it. If it spreads, it forces those making pages to code for the standards and not the browser, making the browser less important, as it should be. Then, if the browser doesn't follow standards, it's the browsers fault, just like it was (and sort of still is) with Internet Explorer. Of course nobody will code something that doesn't work in Internet Explorer becuase of how widespread it is. Oh, wait...

Yes, this is a stupid thing for a page to do, but oh well, it only hurts them.

By the way, I prefer Firefox personally, but don't have a fanboy bias for it or against internet Explorer.
