I was told that the egg symbolizes the boulder which the women rolled away when they went to Jesus's tomb and found him gone. But it seems there are many ideas.

As for the easter bunny, whatever it has to do with easter.. lol Apparently rabbits are animals fo great fertility, and being spring some people decided to make some money off it?
