xpontius | Hey HEy if you guys must flame about stuff at least argue about the right thing. I did some thinking on narcissistic and found out there's a better word to describe Ack if you must.
egoism-(i aint doin no grammar)In the Websters Universal College dictionary I have it describes it as- n. 1. the habit of valuing everything in reference to one's personal interest ( opposed to altruism)2. egotism or conceit. 3. the view in ethics that morality ultimately rests on self interest.
- egoist, n. -egotistic, egoistical, adj. -egoistically, adv(Not things u want to be if you dont want people flaming u for putting them or stuff down on these forums. *hinthint)
Yes a bad case of it. Everyone needs to realize that Ack has tendencies to act this way and before he realizes that people dont like it he has to accept it himself before he changes supposedly. CaptKurt and others are just responding to this negativity, no reason to get into a tantrum over it.

I love how pople try to label others based on something that they have no idea about. (ie. reasoning out a definition in order to place a label)
Lets concentrate on number 1 first. This is false. The only thing you have proof of is him labeling mods based on his personal interest. Oddly enough, it falls under the same topic of where his interests lie. In this case, when people are faced with similar interests, they evaluate each others work, with both positive and negitive comments. I'll admit ACK could be a little more diplomatic about it, but no one can do much about it -thats just the way he is. So I'm not even concerned about disussing it.
Number 2 -egotism or conceit. Egotism: since it's being seperated from conceit, this is the definition....The tendency to speak or write of oneself excessively and boastfully. he has never done this. Conceit: ACK comes across as conceited, however the definition of conceted is: .A favorable and especially unduly high opinion of one's own abilities or worth.. So while he may seem conceited, based on the definition, he's not. He has a high opinion of himself, yes, but not in an unduly (overly excessive) manner. He has earned the right to the opinion of himself, though as I've been stating, he could be a little more diplomatic about it. If he is proven wrong, he admits to it. (Note: His actions as moderator in certain servers is not deemed conceited. He's just being a jerk.)
Number 3. Not applicable as we don't know ACK personally, so we don't know what his view on ethics are.
I've said it before, and I'll keep on saying it. Know what you are talking about before you label someone. And as a side note, if part of the definition fits him, but lacks the ever important word OR seperating it from the rest of the definition, the person must fit ALL requirements of the definition in order for it to be true.
