I don't suppose there is any way to get into some of the other drivers and use them instead (as this one sucks). I do remember that there was a WWConfig file that was able to get a much larger video drivers listing, but I don't know if it did anything with the sound drivers listing.

You could try to disable this sound device in the hardware manager and look if it still displays it in the WWConfig tool.
When people ask me "Plz" just because it's shorter than "Please" I feel perfectly justified to answer "No" because it's shorter then "Yes"
