Those complaining about WGA shouldn't pirate software.

Mmmmhm. What about people who don't pirate software and still think WGA is a pain in the ass? The only way crap like that stops piracy is if the pirate is stupid enough to try and use windows update or the MS download page. For the rest of the people who bought their software legitimately, it's just another hassle that punishes legal users for the offenses of other people. That's like taking the statistics for break-ins then asking everyone to verify their identity before putting a new chair in their own living room. Don't even get me started on why WGAN is a stupid idea- it's the one update that I will continue to refuse from now until doomsday.

Vista isn't worth the money. It's XP with a spiffier interface, far more restrictive DRM (which, as said before, punishes only the people who buy their stuff legit), and is such a drain on system resources that it mocks its own existence. Half the programs out there that supposedly "require" Vista (and that's being generous) could easily run on XP... or 2k, or 98 for that matter. Vista is more of a travesty than WinME was- at least ME was a POS without the need to upgrade your system just to load the freaking desktop.

That, and for all Vista's so-called "security features," I was seeing reports of people breaking it several days before the official release. The only security features for a PC that are worthwhile are a battery of third-party software and careful browsing habits- and Vista won't give you any of that, just a massive hole in your wallet.

I've played around with Vista on several different computers, and I'm thoroughly unimpressed. It will never be loaded onto any of my systems as long as I own them, nor will I ever buy a system with it pre-loaded.

Remember, kids: illiteracy is cool. If you took the time to read this, you are clearly a loser who will never get laid. You've been warned.
