Well as I said I had this problem the other day. Everytime I plugged my monitor into the video card it would goto standby. After a few hours of testing I found out that one of my Ram modules had blown. I would suggest taking everything out of your broken computer except what you need. Take out the HDDs. Sound Card etc.. Leaving just the Video card, cpu and 1 stick of ram. Test each module you have to see if it boots.

This might sound abit silly but give your mother board a good hoover. Get any dust out of the ram slots. (Just don't suck up any jumpers)

If you remove the HDD, you can still get a picture on the screen. Should come up with no operating system found. Which is a good thing Very Happy
