nVidia did hold quite a lead on ATI for a very very long time. Only some ATI products out match their nVidia counterparts. However, most of these cared are so massively powerful, that you wont notice any difference in your games. That and the fact that the top of the line cards need a top of the line processor to match it in order to get the best performance.

However, nVidia has come out with a new chip that has yet to be implemented in its cards. Expect t to be out soon and retake the crown from ATI.

Even with all that, there is more developments in the works. There is a new PCI technology coming out soon. PCX or PCIX I think. I don't have much info on it, but it is going to be over 5 times as fast as AGP, making AGP a thing of the past, leaving as quickly as it came in.

Ya I was just reading something other day about a new slot for cards, a really fast PCI type....Forgot the proper name unfourtunatly....But heard as you've said to be many more times more powerful then AGP slots.
