For a budget (lets say sub $120), I'd say go for an ATI Radeon 8500, 9100 (which is just a rebadged 8500), or a 9200 Pro. The 9000 is the older version of the 9200 but is slower in almost all regards than the 8500/9100. However, you have to be careful with some of the 9100s, as some manufacturers are putting slower RAM on them to reduce costs. A good Radeon 8500 or 8500LE should be under $60 on eBay and will be just about as fast as the Radeon 9200 Pro and faster than the nVidia GeForce FX 5200 and the 5200 Ultra.

These days you can get a Radeon 9500 Pro on eBay for about $160, which is about as fast as an nVidia GeForce4 Ti4600 in most regards. A 9700 Pro generally can run for $250 or less on eBay and is faster than the Ti4600, FX5800, and about equal to the FX5900 in many areas.
